The master bathroom had specialized lighting which required a lot of coordination between the trades and Gala Kitchen and Bath really made everything run very smoothly. WE LOVE OUR NEW KITCHEN!!!! After much searching and with our own designs ready to go, we brought the full gutting and renovation of our galley kitchen to Scott and Gala. We were impressed with his thoughtful, calm approach and his creative solution to our design and "old house" problems. Scott took the time to meet us at the cabinet maker. He willingly adjusted schedules when our back splash order was delayed. When issues arose, as issues always arise in a reno, he was easy to approach and promptly addressed our concerns. In addition to the kitchen reno, we had a heated floor installed in our mudroom creating a whole new living space and Shaun, one of Scott's gifted craftsmen, built us a removable oak railing - a feat many said could not be done! The project came in within budget. We would highly recommend Scott and Gala for your home renovation projects!

Gala was instrumental in renovating our tired old kitchen into a modern and bright space that is both functional and beautiful. The bathroom renovation was seamless and is now a stunning well proportioned airy bathroom. Scott Thomas of Gala is a very good communicator and kept us informed every step of the way. Practically all of the work was done earlier than forecasted in our initial schedule provided by Scott at the onset of the project. I cannot recommend Gala highly enough.

Scott and his team did a full renovation of our main floor, including kitchen, new floors, new layout, new window, all lighting, built-in closets and shelving.... everything! His site manager, Shaun, was on site every day for a period of over 6 months. The work he did was spectacular in terms of communication, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Plus, he was always considerate of our family's needs, and great to be around. There were some surprises along the way that delayed our project, but Scott and Shaun handled them with urgency and professionalism — and always tried to find a solution that met our priorities. I would definitely recommend Gala to anyone. The owner, Scott, was very attentive to our needs & wants. This was especially important because of the limitations in my physical abilities, so the fact that he took the time to get all the details just right was very valuable to us. He was very knowledgable about materials and provided helpful suggestions about suppliers. Considering the fact that the kitchen and bathroom were being remodelled at the same time, he coordinated the timing of the sub-contractors & workers excellently. At every stage, Scott communicated what would be happening in the next day or week. Also, he always took the time to address our questions and concerns. All the workers were very conscientious, hard-working and tidy. So, if you want a great reno experience with a contractor that goes the extra mile, then hire this company!

We are so lucky to have found Gala. We couldn't be happier with the service and the outcome. Scott was the only contractor who agreed to meet with us on a weekend to assess our space and was by far the most comprehensive in his review, measurement and questions ahead of the quote. He had our complete confidence from day 1. As the renovation progressed he kept us informed of progress via regular emails, texts and photos (we weren't living in the place during the bulk of the work) and was always very quick to respond to our inquiries -- from the first day to the very last day of the job. This was our first major reno and Scott was very patient with us. He always had good suggestions for how to handle the trickier elements of the design. Our neighbours remarked on several occasions that the tradespeople who worked on our reno were always very polite and friendly. Now that the dust has settled and we've 'moved in' to our new kitchen and bathroom, we're confident that both are well-built and a joy to use.

We now have a very high end kitchen that serves our needs much better than the subpar builder's standard kitchen we tore out. Having lived with it for over a month now, it is practical, durable and gorgeous! Definitely the best kitchen we have ever had and we will come back to Scott and his team in the future.

Scott did a great job. He was professional and explained everything. There were no surprises with regards to the cost at the end. He cleaned up every day so we could manage around the work. I would definitely recommend Scott. We also had Scott replace the kitchen counter and we added back splash as well. He also did some drywall work, connected our dishwasher, painted and hung one cabinet for us as well.

We sought a few quotes for a complete gutting, incl. structural work, and build of a new kitchen: Gala's quote was reasonable which we were so pleased about because after our initial meeting with Scott we really hoped to be able to work with him. We particularly appreciated Scott's calm and patient demeanor; he took the time to really understand what we we after and offered fantastic advice where we were unsure.

We cannot put into words how thrilled we are with this experience and with the results! Our small kitchen was in desperate need of upgrading, as it was the original design with little storage space. Scott answered my initial call immediately and came by the next SATURDAY to sketch and provide a quote. We loved Scott's ideas, and were appeased with his product knowledge and confidence. He worked with us to design a kitchen that met all of our needs and all of our wants (including a pantry and garbage drawer).
Scott was very patient, as we had many questions and wanted to do some work ourselves (demo, electrical, painting), and he explained everything in great detail along the way.
Gala has an excellent product selection and we were never under any pressure to upgrade.
Scott's team was professional and did great work within the discussed time frame. The cabinet install went well and quickly, the new floors and backsplash were done without issue, and Scott successfully installed the hood fan himself.
